Viviana Waisman is executive director and co-founder of Women's Link. Viviana holds a BA in political science from the University of California, Berkeley and a JD from the University of California Hastings College of Law in San Francisco. She holds a Master of Studies in International Human Rights Law from Oxford University, where she presented her thesis on the responsibilities of States to victims of trafficking.
Her publications include Bridging the Divide: Women's Access to Justice; Reproductive Rights 2000: Moving Forward (editor); Women of the World Anglophone Africa: Laws and Policies Affecting their Reproductive Lives and ''Human Trafficking: State Obligations to Protect Victims Rights. The Current Framework and a New Due Diligence Standard.'' Hastings International and Comparative Law Review (Spring 2010)(forthcoming). Originally from Argentina, she resides in Madrid.
Viviana Waisman es la directora ejecutiva y cofundadora de Women's Link. Estudió ciencia política en la Universidad de California, Berkeley y obtuvo su título de abogada de la Facultad de Derecho Hastings, de la Universidad de California en San Francisco, EEUU. Posee una maestría en Derecho Internacional de los Derechos Humanos de la Universidad de Oxford, en donde presentó su tesis sobre la responsabilidad estatal respecto de las víctimas de trata.
Entre sus publicaciones están: ''cortando Distancias: acceso a la justicia de las mujeres'', ''Reproductive Rights 2000: Moving Forward'' (editora), ''Women of the World Anglophone Africa: Laws and Policies Affecting their Reproductive Lives'' y ''Human Trafficking: State Obligations to Protect Victims Rights.
